Our Patient Mission

Patient Mission

Since its inception in 1993, our mission has never changed. Our goals for all of our patients are simple:

Achieving these goals is not quite as simple. Each individual experiences pain differently and, therefore, every patient needs an individualized treatment plan. And each patient has different needs. It is our mission to find the treatment plan that works best for you and addresses YOUR NEEDS. See the difference at Comprehensive Pain Management and realize your potential. Listen to You

At CPM we know our first mission is to simply listen to you—to understand how you feel and your concerns.

Learn About You

One of the guiding principals of Osteopathic Medicine, since the beginning, is to focus on the whole person, not just the medical problem. We understand that, in order to do the best job caring for you, we need to know more than just “where it hurts.” We need to know who you are as a human being and to understand you.

Understand Your Needs & Expectations

As your pain management providers, it is our job to hear you when you express your needs and expectations of treatment. One patient may say, “I just want to be able to walk my dog around the block,” while another one may say “I want to get back to running marathons.” Each patient’s needs are unique, and understanding them helps us to tailor your treatment to fit your needs. Some patients come to CPM without a clear idea of their expectations of treatment. It is then our job to help you sort that out. Knowing that, you and your provider can design your treatment specifically to reach your goals and optimize your outcomes.

Evaluate the Whole Patient

What does this really mean? At CPM, the Osteopathic Principal of Holism is not the newest, next best thing. It’s the oldest best thing about Osteopathic medicine. Long before “holistic” became a marketable ‘buzzword’ for all things from face cream to health spas, it was something that was instilled into us, as D.O.’s., since the first day of medical school, ever since the 1890’s. It is still true today.

Develop an Individualized Treatment Plan

We understand that every is unique and deserves his/her own individualized treatment plan. By creating a treatment plan that addresses YOUR needs, we can help you be the best that you can be.

Explain the Plan

At Comprehensive Pain Management, our doctors and staff know that the more you understand, the better you will feel about your treatment and the more comfortable you will be participating in your rehabilitation.

Engage the Patient

At Comprehensive Pain Management, we know that when you are a partner in your own care, you have the best chance at improving your quality of life. We can’t do it without you.

Inspire the Patient

“One of the things that I’ve found most important in my own recovery from multiple orthopedic and medical setbacks, is that your attitude will inspire you to do more than you ever thought possible. In your recovery, ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. A strong mind leads to a strong body.”

Improve Function

Although we call ourselves, Comprehensive Pain Management, relief of pain is just one aspect of our care. The other, RECOVERY OF FUNCTION is just as important. Improved function leads to increased self-esteem and a sense of control over your life.

Reduce Pain & Suffering

When your pain is reduced, you can focus on the important things in your life. That is what Comprehensive Pain Management is all about, getting your life back.
